Building a Digital Foundation for Vietnam’s Construction Industry

In the context of Vietnam’s construction and real estate industries facing significant pressure in terms of costs, workforce, and project schedules, digital transformation and the application of artificial intelligence (AI) are no longer optional but have become an inevitable requirement.

To accompany enterprises on this journey, CIC Technology and Consultancy Joint Stock Company, in collaboration with BIMAGE Singapore, organized the thematic workshop “Digital Technology and AI in the Construction Industry – Redefining Real Estate: A Digital Leap for Investors, Contractors, and Consultants in Vietnam.”

The workshop was held in Ho Chi Minh City on November 24, 2025 at Saigon Hotel, 10th Floor, 41–47 Dong Du Street, Saigon Ward, Ho Chi Minh City (former address: 41–47 Dong Du, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City), and at the 3rd Floor Auditorium of the Ministry of Construction, No. 37 Le Dai Hanh Street, Hai Ba Trung Ward, on November 26, 2025.

According to the Organizing Committee, the workshop aims to build a digital construction ecosystem in Vietnam, where technology and data become the soft infrastructure throughout the entire project lifecycle. Experts CIC and BIMAGE introduced a series of breakthrough technology solutions to optimize design, construction, project management, and facility operations.

A key highlight of the program was Podium AI, a solution that transforms the project feasibility assessment process months to just a few hours, enabling investors to quickly determine project effectiveness and investment costs.

In addition, the Lean–Plan–Do model helps manage progress and resources in real time, replacing outdated Gantt charts while addressing fragmentation in team coordination and data management.

AGENDA

Opening Session: The urgency of digital transformation for Vietnam’s real estate and construction industries, and the role of AI and new technologies in the digital transformation process.

  • Session 1: AI-Powered Design to Reality – Exploring how Podium AI transforms project feasibility assessments processes lasting months into just a few hours, helping investors and consultants optimize projects and cost estimates even before design begins.
  • Session 2: From Chaos to Clarity – Taking control of project workflows and schedules, addressing issues related to fragmented teams and outdated Gantt charts.
  • Session 3: See What’s Really Happening – Applying AI technology in reality capture, enabling intelligent project monitoring and revealing what is truly happening on construction sites.
  • Session 4: Building the Digital Core – Establishing a Digital Core with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) as the Common Data Environment (CDE) platform, integrating the entire digital ecosystem of the enterprise.
  • Session 5: Fuzor – Transforming BIM models into interactive 4D, 5D, and VR experiences for investors and stakeholders.

AI – The “All-Seeing Eye” on Construction Sites

One of the most notable topics of interest was the application of AI technology in reality capture and construction site monitoring. The system allows managers to “see what is really happening,” thereby detecting deviations, risks, and delays as soon as they arise.

At the workshop, experts also presented Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) as a “Digital Core” platform that helps enterprises establish a Common Data Environment (CDE), connecting the entire project ecosystem design to construction and operation.

In particular, Fuzor technology delivers project simulation experiences through 4D, 5D, and virtual reality (VR) models, allowing investors and stakeholders to interact directly with projects before construction begins, improving decision-making and minimizing errors.

According to CIC representatives, the goal of the workshop is not only to introduce technology but also to call on enterprises to take concrete actions in their digital transformation roadmaps.

“If in the past we talked about digital transformation as a trend, today it has become a matter of survival for Vietnam’s construction industry to maintain competitiveness and expand internationally,” a CIC representative emphasized.

The workshop “Digital Technology and AI in the Construction Industry – Redefining Real Estate: A Digital Leap for Investors, Contractors, and Consultants in Vietnam” is expected to be a prominent technological and professional event at the end of 2025, bringing together leaders regulatory agencies, international experts, and hundreds of investors, consultants, and enterprises in the construction sector.

With a series of in-depth discussion sessions and real-world case study sharing, the workshop will serve as an important forum to promote the comprehensive digitalization of Vietnam’s construction and real estate industries, toward the goals of efficiency, transparency, and sustainability in the digital era.
